DEEP SPACE IS DEAD.

OK, that may be a bit dramatic, but for the time being, Deep Space is on a bit of a hiatus.

This past year has been a tough one for everyone, and our time, energy, priorities, and focus has shifted a bit, and the label has taken a bit of a backseat to life.

We’re still going to be keeping up with mailorder and whatnot, but there are no upcoming releases on the horizon or for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the support over the last 12 or so years, it’s been a wild ride. We’ve met so many amazing people, released some pretty great (in my opinion) albums, and worked with some fantastic bands.

It’s been an extreme pleasure to help keep alive and continue to spread this beautiful noise we call shoegaze.

We may be back, may not – time will tell.

Both the ‘Somewhere’ EP and the vinyl reissue of ‘Always, Sometimes, Seldom, Never’ are out now!

We were bummed we couldn’t get up to Kalamashoegazer this year, but here’s a video of ‘Mind the Wires’ from Tears Run Rings’ set!

You can now pre-order both the ‘Somewhere‘ EP 10″ and the vinyl reissue of ‘Always, Sometimes, Seldom, Never‘ in the store! And there’s a bundle option for limited time that will save you a few bucks. Release date is October 19, but we hope to have them shipping out a bit before that. Remember – if you order anything else with the your pre-order, it won’t ship until the pre-order does. If you need something else now, you’ll need to put in a separate order.

That’s right! For anyone that missed out on the first run of the fantastic sophomore EP from LSD and the Search for God, we’ve gone and repressed it on fabulous translucent green vinyl! Up in the store now!

That’s right, we have a new Paypal store we’ve built, that is accessible by just clicking on the STORE link in the top nav.

We closed the Storenvy shop because the platform has 1) become too unreliable, and 2) they started charging a fee to users to literally shop through their platform, a move that we vocally protested, to no avail. There are still a few things here and there that we are adding/adjusting, but it should be good to go. If you do have problems checking out, please just let us know!

So Storenvy, our online store host, decided to implement a flat “Storenvy fee” to every transaction this week. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that they would expect customers to pay for this (and at such a high rate to boot), but we really had no input into the matter. We’re going to be looking to move our store to another platform soon, but, in the meantime, I’ve decided lower shipping costs a bit to help offset the charge to you. I know it’s not a perfect solution, but it’ll have to do until we can get moved. Thanks for understanding, and we appreciate your business!
